About

All members of Cocoa Bassmasters are here because they love bass fishing!!! We have a club meeting and tournament once each month to address the following club business: Club Business old and new. Club financial report and activities are discussed. Club projects typically involve conservation of our bass fisheries, launch ramp clean-ups, and our involvement with the Wounded Warrior Tournament each year.    Tournament Results-Club points are awarded for each tournament and are accumulated throughout the year for end of year standings. Prize money is awarded for First, Second, Third place and Big Bass for each tournament. The biggest prize is always the bragging rights which lasts until the next tournament. Each member tells everyone how and in general where he caught his fish. Techniques and lures used are discussed and provides any tips he can share to help all members become better bass fishermen. We believe in friendly not cut-throat completion!!! Tournament Draw-For the upcoming tournament Co-anglers are paired with Boaters by drawing names out of a hat. This ensures that all members get to fish with all of the other members during the year. The club tournament committee creates a list of lakes for each half of the year which is approved by the members. From this list the lake and ramp for the next month’s tournament is decided by a majority vote of members present at the meeting. This way we ensure we are fishing the hottest lakes each month and do not fish any lake more than once each year. We finish off the year with our Classic Tournament and club banquet with year standings awards to our top fishermen. Club finances-Club annual dues is $30 for the year. Entry into an optional big bass of the year pot is $10. Entry fee for each monthly tournament is $30.
